| Our business is based in Doğubeyazıt, a small town in Eastern Turkey at the foot of Mount Ararat, near the borders of both Armenia and Iran. We have a shop that is open from April to October, but naturally we can be contacted all year by phone or email. Our man on the spot is Osman Akkuş, who was born in a village just outside the town. Four years ago, Osman decided to come back to live in his home town after many years of working in a carpet store in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. As well as his expert knowledge about every kind of Oriental carpet, he has personal experience of the nomad rugs and textiles of this, his home area. |
